The “Official Close Price” will be determined by the minute candle close price of the Gold Spot Price (XAU/USD) on March 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM EST, as displayed on the basic (free) version of TradingView using Forex.com (FOREXCOM) as the data source (FOREXCOM:XAUUSD). The price will be recorded to the nearest non-rounded penny (two decimal places).

The winner will be the contestant whose entry exactly matches the Official Close Price.

If two or more eligible contestants submit an identical, exact matching guess:

  • A winner will be selected from the tied entries via a random drawing.
  • The random drawing will be live-streamed on a platform to be announced on the Contest Website. The drawing will be conducted by the Sponsor.

The potential winner will be notified via the email address and/or phone number provided in their entry form following the determination and validation of the winning entry.

Each contestant will be able to submit one (1) guess with entry and may earn up to nineteen (19) additional guesses by completing bonus tasks for a total of twenty (20) guesses.

  1. CONTEST PERIOD AND SPONSOR

1.1. Sponsor and Administrator

1.3. Contest Period

The Contest begins on December 18, 2025 and ends on March 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (the “Entry Deadline”). All entries must be received by the Entry Deadline.

1.4. Contest Website

The contest is hosted at blueboxauction.com/guessthegold (the “Contest Website”).

1.5. Void Where Prohibited

The Contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

  1. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

2.1. Eligibility

The Contest is open only to legal residents of the United States who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry.

Employees, agents, and immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) of the Sponsor are eligible to enter the Contest and subject to the same official rules set within.

2.2. No Purchase Necessary

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.

2.3. Entry Procedure

To enter, eligible individuals must:

  • Visit the Contest Website and submit a prediction of the spot price of gold (XAU/USD) for March 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM EDT.
  • Only entries where the contestant has either (a) successfully submitted a prediction on blueboxauction.com/guessthegold and completed the mandatory email verification process by clicking the unique verification button or pasting their unique link into a browser, or (b) submitted a mail-in entry on a 3.5″ x 5″ index card that includes the contestant’s full Name, Address, Email Address, Phone Number, and Gold Price Guess postmarked by February 27, 2026 and received by March 10, 2026, will be eligible to win. Digital contestants must check all folders, including spam/junk, for the verification email.

2.4. Additional Entries (Bonus Tasks)

The entry software may provide opportunities for contestants to earn additional guesses by completing specific tasks (e.g., watching a video, visiting a site, posting on social media, or answering a question). Completion of these tasks is not required to enter, but is required to claim any bonus entries earned. Digital contestants may earn up to twenty (20) total entries through the base guess and the completion of optional bonus guess rewards.

2.5. Mail-In Entry (Alternative Method of Entry)

Eligible individuals may also enter by mail:

  • Mail entries must be submitted on a 3.5″ x 5″ index card and must clearly include the contestant’s Name, Address, Email Address, Phone Number, and Gold Price Guess.
  • Mail-in entries must be postmarked by February 27, 2026 and received by March 10, 2026.

2.6. Total Entries and Bonus Tasks

  • Entry Limit: The maximum number of total entries (guesses) any single contestant may submit is twenty (20).
  • Mutually Exclusive Entry Methods: A contestant must choose only one of the following two entry methods. Submission of entries via both methods (Digital and Mail-in) will result in the disqualification of all entries from that contestant.
    • Method A: Digital Entry with Bonus Opportunities: The contestant submits their base prediction via the Contest Website and may earn up to nineteen (19) additional guesses by completing optional bonus tasks, for a maximum of twenty (20) total entries.
    • Method B: Mail-in Entry (AMOE): The contestant submits up to twenty (20) separate mail-in entries on index cards in separate envelopes. Each properly submitted and qualifying mail-in entry will count as one (1) guess toward the contestant’s maximum limit of twenty (20) entries.
  • Verification: Completion of all bonus tasks associated with the potential winner’s entry will be validated and verified by the Sponsor prior to the award of the prize. If a contestant is found to have submitted entries using both Method A and Method B, or submitted more than twenty (20) total entries under one method, all entries from that contestant may be disqualified at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.
  1. PRIZE AND WINNER DETERMINATION

3.1. Prize

One (1) prize will be awarded: A 2004 0.25 ounce $10 American Eagle .999 gold coin.

  • Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $1,250 USD (subject to market fluctuation).
  • The winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes associated with the acceptance and use of the prize.

3.2. Winning Price Determination

  1. Primary Determination Date and Source

The “Official Close Price” will be determined by the minute candle close price of the Gold Spot Price (XAU/USD) on March 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM EDT, as displayed on the basic (free) version of TradingView using Forex.com (FOREXCOM) as the data source (FOREXCOM:XAUUSD). The price will be recorded to the nearest non-rounded penny (two decimal places).

  1. Contingency for Market Halt or Closure

If gold trading is halted, suspended, or officially closed between contest closure on March 16, 2026 at 10:00am EDT and 12:00 PM EDT on March 17, 2026, the Official Close Price will be determined on the next trading day that is at least twenty-four (24) hours after the market has officially resumed trading.

  • The Official Close Price will be the minute candle close price of the Gold Spot Price (XAU/USD) recorded at 12:00 PM EDT on that determined contingency date.
  • The data source for the contingency date will be the free version of TradingView using Forex.com (FOREXCOM) as the data source (FOREXCOM:XAUUSD).
  • Example: If trading resumes at 4:00 PM EDT on March 17, 2026, the 24-hour mark is 4:00 PM EDT on March 18, 2026. The next 12:00 PM EDT would be March 19, 2026, at 12:00 PM EDT.

3.3. Winner Selection Criteria

  • The winner will be the contestant whose entry exactly matches the Official Close Price.
  • Exact Match Required: Guesses must be an exact match to the nearest penny. No rounding will take place.
  • No Winner Scenario: If no entry exactly matches the Official Close Price, no prize will be awarded, and the contest shall conclude.

3.4. Tie-Breaker Procedure

If two or more eligible contestants submit an identical, exact matching guess:

  • A winner will be selected from the tied entries via a random drawing.
  • The random drawing will be live-streamed on a platform to be announced on the Contest Website. The drawing will be conducted by the Sponsor.

3.5. Entry and Task Validation

The potential winner’s entry and any corresponding bonus tasks claimed will be subject to thorough validation by the Sponsor before the prize is awarded. Invalid or incomplete task completion, or any evidence of fraudulent activity, will result in the forfeiture of the prize.

  1. WINNER NOTIFICATION, RELEASE, AND FORFEITURE

4.1. Notification

The potential winner will be notified via the email address and/or phone number provided in their entry form following the determination and validation of the winning entry.

4.2. Prize Claim and Forfeiture

The potential winner has five (5) business days from the date of initial notification to respond and claim the prize. Failure to respond within this period will result in the forfeiture of the prize.

4.3. Requirements to Claim Prize

The potential winner will be required to:

  • Provide a valid Photo ID for identity verification.
  • Execute and return a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release/Publicity Release (where legal) within the time frame specified by the Sponsor.

4.4. Rights of the Sponsor

If the initial winning entry or its associated entry data (including task completion) is found to be invalid, the Contest Sponsor reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to:

  • Cancel the Contest entirely.
  • Award the prize to the next qualifying eligible entry (the next closest guess, if applicable, that also exactly matches the price, or in a new drawing if ties persist).
  • Hold a new contest.

4.5. Winner Publicity and Use of Information

By entering, contestants agree that if they are selected as a winner, their name, likeness, and state of residence may be announced publicly and used by the Sponsor for marketing and promotional purposes in any media without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

4.6. Tax Liability

The Winner acknowledges that the prize may be subject to federal, state, and local taxes. The Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099 to the winner if required by law. The winner is solely responsible for all tax liabilities associated with the prize.

  1. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION

5.1. General Release

By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies, the application developer, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors (the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, costs, losses, damages, claims, and actions of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation:

  • (a) Unauthorized human intervention in the Contest.
  • (b) Technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone/network lines.
  • (c) Errors in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries.
  • (d) Injury or damage to persons or property which may be sustained, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Contest or receipt/use/misuse of any prize.

5.2. Software and Data Disclaimer

The Released Parties make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Contest entry software or the TradingView/Forex.com (FOREXCOM) data source. Entrants acknowledge and agree that:

  • (a) The Released Parties are not liable for any errors, malfunctions, or failures of the software that may affect entry submission, task completion tracking, or the final winner selection process.
  • (b) The Released Parties rely on publicly available third-party data sources (TradingView/Forex.com) and are not responsible for any errors or discrepancies in the final price data recorded. Entrants accept the Official Close Price as determined by the Sponsor using the specified data source and methodology.

5.3. Indemnification

The entrant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from the entrant’s breach of these Official Rules.

  1. MARKETING CONSENT AND DATA PRIVACY

6.1. Consent to Receive Marketing Emails

By entering the Contest, the contestant agrees to receive marketing and promotional emails from Blue Box Auction Gallery.

6.2. Withdrawal of Consent

Contestants may withdraw consent to receive marketing emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link found at the bottom of any marketing email received from Blue Box Auction Gallery. Opting out of marketing emails will not affect the eligibility of the submitted Contest entry.
