Roger Rice
Roger Rice graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of Southern Maine and an associate’s degree in Studio Arts from the University of Maine, Augusta. He also earned a certificate from the Center for Creative Imagery in Camden, Maine.
Roger is a professional artist with exhibits displayed in prominent galleries such as Horowitz-Newman in Scottsdale, AZ, O.K. Harris in New York City, NY, and Maine’s O’Farrell Gallery. He has showcased his work in Between the Muse and many other venues throughout New England. Selected as one of six artists for the “Emerging Artists of Maine” Exhibition, Roger’s works are also featured in various university and college collections, as well as in periodicals and newspapers.
Expertise and Background
Roger possesses special knowledge and skills in art restoration, Bauhaus, and Mid-Century Modern Design. Born and raised in Murnau and Nuremberg, Germany, and spending most of his adulthood in coastal Maine, his diverse experiences have provided a rich environment for his artistic development. “Art is the stored honey of the human soul,” a quote by Theodore Dreiser, encapsulates Roger’s approach to his craft.
