Questions about collection consulting

Do I have to sell through you?

No. You decide what happens next, whether that is an appraisal, a sale, or simply a better record of what you own.

How is a collection documented?

We record each item with photographs, a description, and its condition. That record helps with insurance, estate planning, and dividing a collection among heirs.

Is an appraisal part of consulting?

It can be. If you need a formal written appraisal for insurance, an estate, or a donation, we prepare it to USPAP standards. See Appraisals & Valuations.

How are consulting fees set?

They depend on the size of the collection and the work involved. We explain the options and any fee before work begins.
