One partner for an estate’s personal property

Executors and fiduciaries need values they can support and a sale process they can document. We provide both, and we keep you informed at every step.

Our written appraisals are prepared to USPAP standards for estate tax, equitable distribution, and litigation, including expert witness reports and testimony. When property is sold, you receive a settlement statement showing what each lot sold for and any agreed fees.

Questions from attorneys and fiduciaries

Can you work to a court or tax deadline?

Tell us the deadline when you first contact us. Most appraisal reports are completed within 4–6 weeks of the consultation, and we will tell you plainly whether a date is realistic.

Do you provide expert witness testimony?

Yes. Our appraisal services include expert witness reports and testimony.

How are sale proceeds reported?

You receive a settlement statement showing what each lot sold for and any agreed fees. Payment is typically issued within 30 days of the auction closing.

Can you sell the real estate as well?

Yes. Our SellWithZero program sells homes and land across Hampton Roads at auction, with zero seller commission and the closing handled by the closing attorney. See SellWithZero real estate.

How do appraisal fees work?

Fees depend on the number of items, the type of report, and the complexity of the work. We agree the fee before any work begins.

How can we help with the estate?

Request an appraisal, ask about selling the estate’s property, or send us a question. We respond to every request personally.

  • USPAP-compliant written appraisals
  • Clear records of every sale
  • Real estate through SellWithZero
