Struck in one ounce of .999 fine silver with a reeded edge and a one-dollar legal tender denomination, it features Adolph A. Weinman’s classic Walking Liberty on the obverse and John Mercanti’s heraldic eagle with shield, olive branch, and arrows on the reverse. This example has been enhanced post-mint with decorative colorization on the surface.
