Additional Description: The 1880 Morgan Silver Dollar from the New Orleans Mint, identified by the “O” mint mark, is the second year of Morgan Dollar production at that mint. Designed by George T. Morgan, it features Liberty in profile on the obverse and a heraldic eagle on the reverse. Struck in 90% silver under the Bland-Allison Act, the 1880-O reflects the expansion of silver dollar coinage during the post-Reconstruction era.
