Additional Information: This colorful etching offers the viewer an inside look into the creative imagination of artist Bernard Berthois. It features two gray and colorful detailed creatures that, at first glance, resemble elephants. However, upon closer inspection, each figure reveals a diverse array of animals and faces, including birds, reptiles, human heads, eyes, and various swirls and designs. The creatures stand on a rounded brown and colorful ground with creatures or faces drawn or outlined inside as well. Funky patterns and designs emerge from around the piece in a surreal and abstract fashion, and Berthois used bright blue, green, orange, and yellow colors to accent the piece. The artwork is signed, titled, and numbered in pencil with the edition number 67/125. It is unframed. It has a watermark within the paper that reads "Arches France."
