Additional Information: This signed set of watercolor paintings by Willis Shattuck showcases the artist’s versatility in capturing both the quiet beauty of the landscape and the intimate details of still-life composition. The first watercolor presents an expansive snowy landscape featuring trees, brush, and a distant home, creating a peaceful winter scene filled with atmosphere and depth. The second work offers a contrasting subject, depicting a carefully arranged still life of fruit, wine, a tea kettle, and a glass resting on a table covered with a white tablecloth, highlighting Shattuck’s attention to detail, light, and texture. Together, these signed watercolors demonstrate the artist’s ability to portray both the serenity of nature and the warmth of everyday objects with skill and sensitivity. Both paintings are professionally matted and framed, enhancing their presentation and making this pair a wonderful addition to collections of traditional watercolor landscapes, still-life artwork, and fine American art.
