Medium: Hand blown cased art glass with opalescent white body, applied green glass trailing/veining, and blue purple iridescent applied glass medallions

Dimensions: Approx. 5 ½  x 4 in.

Condition: No obvious chips, cracks, or repairs observed in  Slight irregularities in form and rim are consistent with handmade production.

Additional Information: Early Charles Lotton studio art glass vase dating to 1973. The rounded vessel has an opalescent white cased glass body decorated with an organic network of applied green glass trails surrounding prominent blue and purple iridescent glass medallions. The free form decoration and individually worked vessel form are characteristic of Lotton’s early experimental studio glass production. Signed by hand in the glass “Lotton 1973.” An especially early example from Lotton’s career and a strong representation of his developing organic decorative style.
