Additional Description: Struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 1910, this two-and-a-half dollar Indian Head gold coin exemplifies Bela Lyon Pratt’s pioneering approach to early twentieth-century American coinage. The obverse features a male Native American in profile, his feathered headdress rendered in the distinctive incuse relief that sets this series apart from conventional raised designs. On the reverse, a dignified eagle rests upon a bundle of arrows and an olive branch, symbols of strength tempered by peace. Believed to grade Fine, the coin shows moderate, even wear consistent with circulation, while preserving the clarity and integrity of its central design elements.
