Origin: Pre-Columbian Mayan, ca. 700-900 A.D. 

Dimensions: 10 in. in diameter x 2.25 in. tall.

Condition: The bowl has chips along the rim and some of the pigment has worn off in some spots. The bowl also has dirt and discoloration on the bottom as well. 

Additional Information: A detailed painted clay terracotta dish from the Mayan civilization made during the first millennium. The plate has a painted zoomorphic creature with a long snout and long ears, and patterns around the inside of the bowl. The outside of the bowl is unpainted.
