Condition: Small chips on the granite on some portions.
Additional Information: A hand carved dark brown polished granite sculpture that is very abstracted and has a rounded bulbous shape with carved lines on the front that look like a body, head, and large hand. The sculpture sits on a wooden base.
The sculpture has the artists signature engraved on the bottom of the piece on the back.
Chihota has travelled to several countries to participate in group exhibitions and give sculpting workshops. He always seeks to achieve balance in his work and places importance on details in the finish.
Chihota’s sculptures have been exhibited in several major group shows of Shona sculptures, including the Museum of Fine Arts in San Diego, California. They have been sold to collectors in Germany, Belgium, the UK, the USA, and Canada.
