Description: A Dayak architectural roof finial made by the Kenyah tribe on the island of Borneo, Indonesia. The Kenyah people are renowned for their exceptional carving skills, creating decorative architectural ornamentation that features abstract shapes inspired by dragons. This finial features a spiral as its focal point, and the base is decorated with curved, claw-like carved wood that blooms out in different directions. A circle set in the center of the base creates the separation of the randomly placed claw-shaped wood pieces. The piece is painted with bright blue, red, and orchard yellow hues with an underlayer of black.
