Acid-etched "Cristal d'Albret France" on the base. There is a "GP 1968" marking on the sulphide portrait. That date refers to the Gilbert Poillerat (GP) sculptural cameo design, not the production year of the glass paperweight itself. The actual Cristal d’Albret paperweight was produced in 1988.
