Additional Description: A group of six original U.S. Proof Sets from 1961 to 1964 captures the final years of silver-era precision in American coinage. Each set, issued by the Philadelphia Mint, contains a cent, nickel, dime, quarter, and half dollar—all struck in high-contrast proof finish and sealed in cellophane within a simple yet iconic flat-pack envelope.

These sets represent the last proof issues before the Coinage Act of 1965 ended the use of 90% silver in circulating dimes, quarters, and half dollars. The Franklin Half appears in the 1961–1963 sets, replaced by the first-year Kennedy Half in 1964, a poignant shift following President Kennedy’s assassination.
