Additional Information: George III sterling silver serving ladle. Features a deep, rounded bowl and a long, tapered handle with beaded border decoration, terminating in an engraved owner’s crest depicting a dragon’s head beneath the motto “CONFIDO.” Hallmarked with the maker’s mark GL, believed to be George Longstaffe, London, circa 1804, along with the lion passant for sterling silver, the crowned leopard’s head for London, and a lowercase date letter “i,” believed to correspond to 1804.
