Condition: Ship Travel Wear (Box), Light Oxidation on Rangefinder
Additional Information: World War II U.S. Navy Bureau of Ships Stadimeter, Mark 5 Mod 0, manufactured by Schick Inc. in 1944. Optical range finding instrument used aboard U.S. Navy vessels to determine the distance to ships of known mast height before radar became the primary method of ranging. The instrument is complete with working optics, housed in its original wooden transit case, and retains the operating instruction sheet affixed to the interior lid.
