Additional Description: Struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 1908, this two-and-a-half dollar Indian Head gold coin marks the debut of Bela Lyon Pratt’s innovative design. The obverse presents a male Native American in profile, his feathered headdress rendered in the distinctive incuse relief that distinguishes this series within U.S. coinage. The reverse features a poised eagle perched upon a bundle of arrows and an olive branch, symbols of strength tempered by peace. Believed to grade Fine, the coin shows moderate, even wear that softens some finer details while maintaining the clarity and overall harmony of the design.
