Additional Information: The mask is a large male head that is hand carved made of wood and with a black horse hair mustache. It has holes carved out for the nose holes and eyes. It is believed to be from the Chile region made by the Mapuche people.
The Mapuche were the only Pre-Columbian South American culture that successfully fought against Spanish dominance. They were pacified and integrated into Spanish culture in the late 19th Century.
