Additional Information: A carved wooden Fijian Icula Ni Bokola Cannibal Fork. The fork has a rounded shape with geometric designs on the top and the middle portion and along a handle is woven natural reeds. the wood has a polished and smooth texture and the bottom has a four carved prongs.
It was used in ritual feasts to feed chief’s, who were too holy to touch food. They were used for human flesh and regular food. Often they were highly treasured and kept in the spirit house.
Reportedly provenance: Scott Duggleby, TX. Pre-WWII, probably 1920-1940.
