Description: A large Japanese kimono wedding ceremonies chest from the early 1900s with iron braces and hardware. Reportedly, may be a Samurai armor chest with a family crest on the front. The chest has two large iron handles on a hinge, a lid decorated with decorative iron plates, handles, and lock. The lid can open on a hook hinge or be removed completely. The front has a stylized flower and the lock has a matching etched flower in a more simple form. There is a sticker with Japanese writing on the inside of the chest that translates to “wedding ceremony furnishings.”
