Description: Two Japanese dolls of a male and female from the Edo Period dressed in traditional clothing. Each has porcelain hands and faces. The male is a Samurai doll from the Edo Ningyo culture representing the warrior class symbolizing honor and loyalty while wearing yoroi armor. The female is dressed in traditional armor clothing and is shown in a seated position with her arms out by her center. She is painted with small bright red lips.
