Description: Japanese Hakata Ningyo figure dolls. Both depict rounded figures, one is seated and the other is standing in traditional, embroidered kimono-like fabric, on a patterned fabric base. The figures come with small hammers that can attach and they appear to be hammering a small piece of metal or stone that is made out of wood. The figures come in a custom-made wooden box. These style of dolls are known for their realistic expressions, soft colors, and detailed carving. The Hakata Ningyo styled doll dates back to the 1600s.
