Additional Description: A Whitman folder of Standing Liberty quarters from 1916 to 1930 preserves one of the most artistically ambitious and symbolically rich series in American coinage. Designed by Hermon A. MacNeil, the obverse features Liberty standing confidently between two pillars, shield raised in one hand, olive branch in the other, an image of vigilance and peace in balance. The reverse shows a soaring eagle in flight, surrounded by stars, emphasizing the nation’s ideals of freedom and strength.
