Additional Description:  A green mint tube of 1989 American Silver Eagles contains 20 one-ounce bullion coins from the fourth year of the U.S. Mint’s flagship silver bullion program. Struck in .999 fine silver, each coin features Adolph A. Weinman’s classic Walking Liberty design on the obverse, originally used on the half dollar from 1916 to 1947—and a heraldic eagle by John Mercanti on the reverse. The 1989 issue came during a period of growing interest in silver investment and remains a relatively accessible early-year mintage. Housed in the U.S. Mint’s official green plastic tube, these coins were intended for bulk distribution, with the packaging itself serving as a recognizable indicator of authenticity and origin
