Estate sale services in Virginia

Settling an estate usually takes more than a weekend sale. We help you decide what to sell, how, and where, then handle the whole house, from valuables to cleanout.

  • Inventory and valuation
  • Estate sale, auction, or both
  • Cleanout to broom-swept
  • Serving Hampton Roads and Richmond

Before you plan a sale

Most families searching for estate sale help are really facing a full house and a lot of decisions. We help you understand what has value, what is better handled another way, and what simply needs to go.

An estate sale prices items for quick, direct sale. An auction lets bidders compete and reaches a much wider audience. We recommend the right mix for your situation, and we manage all of it.

What we help with

  • Estate consultation, by phone or in person
  • Inventory and documentation
  • Appraisals and valuations
  • Estate sale and auction coordination
  • Donation and responsible disposal
  • Property cleanout, broom-swept clean

How we handle an estate

Talk it through

A call or visit to understand what you are facing and explain your options.

Inventory and value

We catalog the belongings and identify what deserves specialist attention or an appraisal.

Sell the right way

Valuables go to auction in front of a worldwide audience; other items go to an estate sale, donation, or disposal.

Leave it ready

We clear the property, broom-swept, ready for sale, transfer, or its next chapter.

Estate cleanouts: nothing of value goes to the curb

Before anything is hauled away, we look for what could sell at auction. Families are often surprised by what turns up in closets, attics, and garages.

What does not sell is donated to charities where it can be used, and the rest is disposed of responsibly. When we finish, the property is ready to sell, transfer, or move into.

What we clear

  • Whole houses and apartments
  • Attics, basements, and garages
  • Sheds and outbuildings
  • Donations to local charities
  • Responsible disposal of the rest
  • A broom-swept finish

Questions about estate sales

Is an estate sale or an auction better?

They do different jobs. An estate sale moves many everyday items quickly at set prices. An auction lets buyers compete, which usually suits valuable pieces and collections. Many estates use both, and we can manage the whole process.

Should we throw anything away first?

Please do not. Papers, small items, and things that look like clutter are sometimes the most valuable. Let us see the house as it is.

Where do you work?

We serve families throughout Hampton Roads, including Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Williamsburg, and in Richmond. For auctions, we accept consignments nationwide.

Can you sell the house too?

Yes. Our SellWithZero program sells homes at auction with zero seller commission, zero contingencies, and no repairs. See SellWithZero real estate.

Can you clear the house to a closing date?

Tell us your date when you contact us and we will plan the cleanout around it. We give you a clear proposal after the walk-through, before any work begins.

How do fees work?

Every estate is different. We explain our fees and how you are paid, in writing, before any work begins.
