About this lot

Dimensions: Approx 18×9″

Condition: Aged Surface Throughout, Oxidation and Pitting to Iron, Dark Patina to Wooden Handle

Additional Information: Antique hand-forged iron spiked tomahawk, featuring a long tapered spike opposite a flattened rectangular poll blade end. The head is mounted on an old shaped wooden haft with a pierced hole at the butt for hanging or cord attachment. The iron head shows heavy patina, surface rust, pitting, and hand-forged irregularities consistent with long use and age. This form is associated with early American spiked tomahawks and trade-style spike axes, though exact age and origin are not confirmed. Similar examples are often described as colonial, French & Indian War, Revolutionary War, or 19th-century frontier-style tomahawks.
