Additional Information: Large antique coopered wooden grain measure, likely Northern Chinese, possibly Shanxi Province, dating from the late Qing to early Republic period (circa 1850–1920). Hand-constructed from fitted hardwood staves and reinforced with heavy hand-forged iron bands, iron lifting ring, The vessel features a tapered form with narrow opening and broad body, a design commonly associated with agricultural measuring and storage containers used in rural markets and farming communities. The bucket retains its original dark aged patina with evidence of long-term use, displaying the character and wear expected of an authentic working vessel. Strong folk-art presence and primitive appeal. A highly decorative example suitable for Americana, Asian folk art, primitive, or country décor collections.
