Additional Description: Large scale sculptural wall hanging depicting a Goliath grouper by Rommel and Courtney Ricaurte of Steel Alive. Constructed from individually formed sheets of stainless steel with extensively welded three dimensional fins, mouth, gills and body details. The metal has been selectively ground, brushed and polished to create contrasting reflective patterns that give the fish considerable movement and depth, with a separately mounted natural stone eye.

The sculpture bears a welded artist monogram and retains an original Steel Alive artist business card identifying Rommel and Courtney Ricaurte and their Lawrenceburg, Tennessee studio. The substantial approximately four foot long construction weighs more than 20 lbs. and incorporates welded mounting points on the reverse for wall display.

Rommel Ricaurte is an Ecuadorian born metal sculptor known for large hand fabricated stainless steel wildlife and marine subjects produced under the Steel Alive name. The artists exhibited and sold their work through numerous American art festivals.
