Origin: Pacific North West coast Haida or Tinglit 

Dimensions: 14x3x12 in. 

Condition: There is light cracking and wear on the bottom of the spoon and on the end of the spoon. 

Additional Information: An antique Pacific Northwest coast carved horn spoon. The spoon portion has an oval shape. The handle of the spoon appears to be made of carved dark wood with spiritual figures and geometric shapes carved in the curved shape. 

These types of spoons were used during feasts and potlatch ceremonies. Some spoons were owned by shamans or medicine men and may have been used in ceremonies, with carvings representing spiritual beings. 

Provenance reportedly from a Montreal, Canada private collection.
