Description: A Bronze and Gold Gilded Green Tara. Tara is a significant figure in Tibetan Buddhism and is known as the Buddha of enlightened activity and compassion. Tara is believed to overcome obstacles, represents the purified wind element, and symbolizes quick response to prayers. Seated in on a lotus base, holding a Dorje in one hand, and a bell in the other. Detailed work of the tiara, facial features, flowing wardrobe, and ornate base is believed to be of Mahayana tradition.
