Description: This bronze statue of Tara, a revered figure in Buddhism, is considered a female Bodhisattva that embodies compassion and action. Tara is often called the “Mother of Mercy and Compassion” and is seen as a protector who helps individuals on their path to enlightenment. She is seated with one leg stretched and depicted in a posture known as royal ease making her ready to assist those in need. It has detail work in the head piece, clothing, and flowers. There are blue details on the shoulders and head dress.
