Description: Includes a carved wooden Batak Kulcapi, a traditional lute from the Toba Batak people of North Sumatra, Indonesia. The lute has a long shape with a carved seated human figure on the top with two knobs for tuning. The top and the bottom of the instrument has carved designs. It has two strings and is used in traditional ceremonies for entertainment. It also includes a round Nepali drum with stretched hide on both sides and reeds holding it together; its handle is made out of carved wood of a deity-like figure with faces around the handle and carved designs and a pointed shape. The drum is believed to be from the Himalaya region of Nepal from the mid 20th century.
