Condition: Some of the mother of pearl design has fallen off and some of the silver hardware needs new small nails to attach a door. The handles on the bottom have fallen off.
Description: A multi-compartment Japanese wood with mother of pearl Tansu chest. There is a long bottom drawer that meets double doors that open to six drawers with wood inlayed decorative designs and handles with flowers. The doors are decorated with a mother of pearl landscape. Above the doors are two decorative inlayed wood drawers that meet the top which opens on a hinge exposing four cubby holes and two long cubby holes with red lids. The piece has a key holes although the key is not included.
