Description: A ritual flaying knife used in Vajrayana Buddhism. The knife is silver toned and has a crescent shape swirled bald with engraved and embossed swirls along the handle. The knife symbolizes the severance of material and worldly bonds and is used in tantric ceremonies. It represents the feminine aspects of wisdom and overcoming ignorance. The handle has a vajra crown which symbolizes destruction of ignorance.
