Additional Description: The U.S. Silver Quarters from 1925 to 1928 belong to the final phase of the Standing Liberty series, a design admired for its classical artistry and symbolic depth. Introduced in 1916 and created by sculptor Hermon A. MacNeil, the design features Liberty advancing confidently with shield and olive branch, embodying both defense and peace in the wake of World War I. By the mid-1920s, minor modifications had already been made to improve wear and modesty, most notably the addition of chainmail to Liberty’s torso in earlier years. Struck in 90% silver, the 1925–1928 issues circulated during the prosperity of the Roaring Twenties, a period of economic growth and cultural transformation.
