Additional Information: A Mesoamerican wood carved Shaman Mayan staff rattle with a design of stylized traditional faces and geometric cut outs that meet a knob top. The inside of the carving is filled with beads and makes noise. The shaft is smooth and has a pointed end. The piece was used by the Mayan shaman elite and some have been found in burial tombs.
