Condition: It has light wear and scuffs in some spots, it is notated to have been restored

Additional Information: A Moche Ceramic Stirrup Spout Vessel depicting what appears to be a warrior holding a club. The male figure is seated and wears a spiked helmet fastened under its chin, and a geometric and circular painted clothing, and he holds a long club. The figure’s face is hand-molded detail and structure and the piece is painted dark orange and tan. The vessel has a rounded spout and handle in the back. The bottom has writing and numbers written on the bottom, notating that the piece was restored a museum deaccession # on the bottom.

The vessel may have been used for rituals or as a funerary offering, or to hold liquids such as maize beer. Moche pottery is known for is naturalism and depictions of daily life and beliefs.
