Additional Information: A rounded vessel with a single loop handle over the spout. The vessel has for legs that are phallic shaped that meet the rounded vessel body. The vessel has an open spout making the piece functional.
Ancient Peru made phallic vessels, not primarily for erotic reasons, but to represent concepts like fertility, abundance, and the divine. These vessels were also used in burials and as emblems of power.
Most Pre-Columbian cultures made erotic sculptures just as the Japanese, Middle Eastern and Chinese done for centuries.
