Dimensions: 11.55.5.75×15 in. 

Condition: Cracking and wear throughout its body, and it appears to have had its arm broken off at some point and repaired. And there is cracking on the back. 

Additional Information: A clay handmade Pre-Columbian Quimbaya Retablo Slab Seated figure displaying a serene countenance with one hand over its chest and the other arm raised, with the fingers extended, as if holding an item or evoking spirits. The figure has a flatted face and body and appears to be nude. There are engraved geometric motifs along its legs and painted black designs along its face and body that have been slightly worn with time. 

Its body is heavy, but appears to be hollow with something rattling inside and holes on the back of its head. There is also yellow coloring on the front.

The figure has a a slab-like body, slit-form eyes, and a straight mouth. These sort of figures were included with ceramic vessels and metal ornaments as offerings in burials in shaft and chamber tombs and may have been seen as guardians for the deceased.
