Additional Information: Hand carved wood shaman story staff, with six elongated faces of past ancestors figures. The staff was used for rituals, ceremonies, and for ceremonial house. Bahau Dayak culture from Borneo (Kalimantan) Indonesia. Often placed at the entrance of the village to ward off evil spirits and to protect from malevolent and vengeful ancestors. The piece shows faces stacked vertically head to head with elongated male dominated noses. The staff has three wood carved handles in-between the faces as well as textured designs through out the piece.
