Condition: Tsuba has rust and small losses on both of the faces. On one side of the Tsuba, the lion is missing its face and a flower is missing a petal. On the other side, a flower is missing another petal. Certificate of Authenticity and the envelope both have folding creases. The tomobake (wooden box) is lined with purple fabric and a top cushion, both show no signs of damage. The box also has some scratches and discoloration.

Description: The tsuba has different designs on either sides. The first side has a design of flowers, a butterfly, grasses, and a lions body. On the other side of the tsuba there are flowers, insects, and grass designs. The Certificate of Authenticity has a front and back photo of the tsuba, Japanese text, a serial number, an embossed stamp, and stamped out numbers and symbols on the upper left side. The envelops has Japanese text on the front and back. The Wooden Box has Japanese text on the top and inside the top of the box. The box also is lined with purple fabric and a top cushion to protect the tsuba.
