Condition: There is visible surface rust and oxidation. The stirrups are structurally sound overall but there are small losses in the loop at the top. There are other small losses along the inner arches and along the base. Some of the silver designs are slightly worn but still visible.
Description: Early Chinese horse stirrups. Stirrups provided cavalrymen with a significant advantage allowing for better control and stability while engaging in combat.
