Manufacturer: One has a sticker on the bottom that reads “Hakata Urasaki Dolls,” and anther has a sticker that reads “Hakata Mimasu Dolls Japan” and others are stamped “Made in Japan” or with numbers.
Origin: Fukuoka, Japan
Dimensions: The couple with fruit figurine measures 5.5x5x10 in.
Condition: Light wear and scuffs on each. One child is missing an accessory in its hand. Some have chips and paint missing. An older woman carving fruit has some of her knife missing and one male figure has a finger missing. Some oranges are unattached on some.
Additional Information: An assortment of traditional Japanese Hakata dolls made from fired and painted unglazed clay. These dolls are known for their soft colors and realistic expressions.
Includes Hakata dolls of two darkly colored seated men with a persimmon in their hands, one comes with a separate basket of persimmons. Also includes a couple with a basket of citrus, the male is getting fruit down with a stick.
And includes a male seated figure eating a watermelon and a kneeling child eating a fruit. Lastly includes three seated figures of two males and an older woman eating or carving citrus fruit.
