Medium: Porcelain with polychrome overglaze decoration and extensive gilt accents; vase accompanied by a carved hardwood display stand

Dimensions: Vase: Approx. 6 x 3 in., excluding stand; Charger: Approx. 10 in. diameter

Condition: Light surface and gilt wear consistent with age. discoloration to the unglazed foot areas. No major chips, cracks, or repairs apparent.

Additional Information: Coordinated Japanese Arita porcelain vase and decorative charger featuring matching bird and flower decoration against a deep russet brown background. Both pieces are richly decorated with flowering branches, peonies, chrysanthemums, assorted blossoms, and small birds, bordered by turquoise green bands with dense gilt scrolling and floral ornament.

The baluster form vase has a flared neck and gilt rim and is accompanied by a carved hardwood display stand. The 10 inch charger repeats the same floral and avian composition and matching turquoise and gold border treatment.
