Condition: Complete standard set of 144 mahjong tiles arranged in four fitted removable trays. Tiles retain bright red, blue and green decoration with light wear consistent with age and use. White tiles have integral blue backs and remain substantial and glossy. Dice, scoring counters and additional gaming accessories are included as shown; exact original accessory count is unknown. Carrying case shows age related surface creasing, scuffing and minor edge and corner wear but remains intact with handle and metal clasps present.

Additional Information: Complete vintage Chinese style mahjong set produced for the Western/export market, comprising the traditional 144 tile configuration.

The set includes 36 circles or dots, 36 bamboos, 36 characters, winds, dragons, flowers and seasons. Tiles feature traditional Chinese characters and imagery with added Arabic numerals and Western directional letters to assist non Chinese players. Decorative flower and season tiles and the traditional bird motif on the bamboo tile are present.

The complete 144 tile playing set is organized in four fitted removable trays and housed in a brown portable carrying case with metal hardware. Dice and assorted colored scoring counters and markers accompany the set.
