Origin: Casas Grandes, Northern Mexico (Chihauhua) and southern Arizona

Dimensions: 7 in. in diameter x 7 in. tall 

Condition: Restored cracked around the parts of the vessel, wear of the paint in some spots and and general scuffing, looks to have been excavated and re-assembled

Additional Information: Believed to be a Pre-Columbian Casas Grande 13th 14th c Painted Vessel. It has a light tan color with geometric black and dark orange painted designs. It has a rounded shape that is widest in the center and tapers towards the top. It may have been used to store seeds. There is a note inside that reads “Pre-historic Casas grandes CA. 13-14th cent. Restored by Bill Freeman.”

The provenance is reportedly Artemis Gallery, CO.
