Condition: Light wear of the the thread along the edges and a few beads are missing. 

Additional Information: A Dayak Borneo Baby Carrier Beaded Panel used to safeguard children form evil sprits. Typically it would be displayed and sewn onto the back of a woven baby carrier. The beaded design shows colorful swirling sun-like figures and designs. It is stretched onto a cloth panel. 

Elaborate beadwork often displayed a families wealth or status. The Dayak people, are indigenous to Borne, are believed to safeguard the baby’s soul.
