Additional Description: The 1921 Silver Morgan Dollar marks the final chapter of the Morgan series, reintroduced after a two-decade pause due to the Pittman Act’s mandate to melt and recoin vast quantities of silver. Struck in .900 fine silver across Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mints, this coin features George T. Morgan’s classic design—Liberty’s youthful profile crowned with a Phrygian cap on the obverse, and a powerful eagle clutching arrows and olive branches on the reverse. As the only year the Morgan Dollar and the new Peace Dollar were minted concurrently, the 1921 issue serves as a tangible link between two iconic eras of American coinage.

The 1922 Peace Dollar embodies the spirit of post-World War I America, symbolizing a nation’s hope for peace and progress. Struck in .900 fine silver, this issue follows the high-relief 1921 debut with a lowered relief design that improved striking efficiency and durability. Anthony de Francisci’s depiction of Liberty, crowned with radiant spikes, graces the obverse, while the reverse features a serene eagle resting on a rock inscribed with “PEACE.” Minted in large quantities at Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco, the 1922 Peace Dollar quickly became a familiar presence in everyday commerce during the economic optimism of the Roaring Twenties.
