1933
Kampf um’s Dritte Reich Cigarette Cards
Original cigarette or tobacco collector cards from the 1933 German series:
Kampf um’s Dritte Reich: Eine historische Bilderfolge
The complete set originally consisted of 273 cards. This collection contains 231.
The cards depict German political figures, rallies, SA formations, parades, flags, aircraft, vehicles, public events and propaganda imagery from the early 1930s.
The cards are mounted in a plain vintage brown scrapbook rather than the officially printed series album. They appear to be permanently glued to the pages, and their backs cannot be examined without risking damage.
These are period printed collector cards and not original photographs.
1934 anti Hitler Saar press photograph
Original International News Photos, Inc. press photograph documenting an anti-Hitler demonstration in the Saar Territory during the campaign preceding the 1935 Saar plebiscite.
The original pasted caption identifies Socialist leader Max Braun and Catholic leader Abbé Dörr and states that they urged Saar residents not to vote for the territory’s return to Germany.
The reverse retains:
-
International News Photos agency stamp
-
Original typed caption
-
Agency photograph number 710029
-
Release notation R-9-4-34
-
Later archival inventory label
1936 Hoffmann Winterhilfswerk press photograph

The reverse retains:
-
Original German typed caption
-
December 1936 date notation
-
Agency photograph number 25359
-
Large Presse-Illustrationen Hoffmann, Berlin copyright stamp
